The Bay
Building Your Business At The Bay

"The Bay already knew their target audience and their product lines very well, but the program we created taught cosmetic and fragrance consultants how to develop their selling skills, understand customer wants and needs, and develop ongoing rapport with customers."

A multi-pronged approach to training, including classroom workshops, a self-directed video, and the creation of a CD-ROM rounded out the design for this project.

Retail Merchandising

Canada Post Corporation's focus on retailing translates into a requirement for every employee to consider their performance within a retail context and to have significant knowledge about the techniques and importance of merchandising.

The Retail Merchandising Training Program at Canada Post is a full day, interactive classroom program that provides Retail Clerks at over 7,000 outlets across the country with highly customized merchandising training.

It is designed to address merchandising needs at Canada Post Retail Outlets across the country, link the new brand position to the day-to-day merchandising activities by Retail Clerks, and help prepare outlet staff for Mystery Shoppers.

ICE Leadership
Mission Critical Leadership

Mission Critical Leadership is an exciting, mission-based daylong program that puts participants in the leadership hot seat! Through the use of military and high-tech simulations, this program delivers an exciting leadership paradigm with valuable leading-edge experience. ShaughnessyHowell turned a military leadership model into an experiential workshop that integrates simple strategies and fundamental principles of leadership.

Leading successful projects today requires similar skills to managing the fast, intense missions that are common to the military. Through the use of military and high-tech simulations, learners gain insight and practice some of those tried-and-true leadership strategies in a "boot-camp" style program that puts them in the leadership hot seat.

Exciting and unconventional in format, this workshop delivers an action-packed day that incorporates best-in-class leadership principles with stimulating practice-missions, including:

  • Conducting a search & rescue mission
  • Hosting an international sports event
  • Managing a rock-concert event
  • Launching a hot new product
